Your subscription to Bid Board Pro gives you access to your company’s analytics, which provides you with important information about your company’s performance. This article explains the different types of analytics you have access to and how these analytics work with bid groups.
Before getting started, it’s important to understand what analytics you can view. The analytics you can view depend on the structure of your company:
- If your company has a single office, all values on the Analytics tab will be for all bids at your company.
- If your company has multiple offices, you can only view analytics for offices that you’re a member of that subscribe to Bid Board Pro. You can switch between the analytics for each office by using the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the page.
- Pictured below, viewing "All offices" provides the stats for 2 offices, New York and San Francisco, which I'm a part of and have Bid Board Pro. Other offices without Bid Board Pro are grayed out.

- If all offices in your company subscribe to Bid Board Pro, you can view analytics for your entire company. You will have to be a member of every office in your company in order for this option to become available. By default, you are viewing the stats for "All offices" and you can choose to filter to a certain one or multiple.

Below is a description of all the statistics included in your Analytics tab and the calculation methodology that is used (in the context of 2020-2021 statistics):
Year (2020) Summary
This section shows your company’s analytics for the past year (2020 as pictured). This information is available for your company’s reference. The methodology for calculating these numbers is the same for each year. These methodologies are described below using 2021 information.
2021 Year-to-Date: Total Bids
Total Bids refers to the total dollar value of bids submitted in 2021. A bid is included if the status of the bid is "Submitted" and the “Date submitted” of its most recent proposal is in 2021. The dollar value used for each bid is the Bid Value of the most recent proposal. For bid groups, only the amount that is manually entered in the group’s “Proposal amount” field (also sometimes labeled as “Bid amount”) is counted. This amount is entered when the status of the group changes to Submitted, Won, Lost or Other. Requests for budgets are not included in this calculation.
2021 Year-to-Date: Total Bids Won
Total Bids Won refers to the total dollar value of bids won in 2021. A bid is included if its “Outcome Date” is in 2021 and its status is “Won.” The dollar value used for each bid is the “Submitted Value” of the most recent proposal. For bid groups, only the amount that is manually entered in the group’s “Proposal amount” field is counted. Requests for budgets are not included in this calculation.
2021 Year-to-Date: Hit Rate by Count
Hit Rate by Count refers to the total number of bids that were won in 2021 divided by the total number of bids that were won and lost in 2021. You can see how the hit rate is calculated by clicking on the pen icon next to "Other". A bid is included in the calculation if its “Outcome Date” is in 2021 and its status is either “Won” or “Lost.” You can choose to also include bids with "Submitted" or "Other" statuses. Please reference, "How Bid Board Pro Subscribers can adjust “Hit Rate” calculations" for more information on how you can adjust this calculation. Groups are counted as a single bid. Requests for budgets are not included in this calculation.
2021 Year-to-Date: Hit Rate by Dollar Value
Hit Rate by Dollar Value refers to the total dollar value of bids that were won in 2021 divided by the total dollar value of bids that were won and lost in 2021. A bid is included in the calculation if its “Outcome Date” is in 2021 and its status is “Won” or “Lost.” Similar to Hit Rate by Count, you can also choose to include the bids with status "Submitted" or "Other". Please reference, "How Bid Board Pro Subscribers can adjust “Hit Rate” calculations" for more information. The dollar value used for each bid is the “Bid Value” of the most recent proposal revision. For bid groups, only the amount manually entered in the group’s “Proposal amount” field is counted. Requests for budgets are not included in this calculation.
Active Opportunities
Active bids refers to the number of bids you currently have in each status. Bid groups count as a single bid and they are counted under the status of the entire group. For example: a bid group with an “Accepted” status would be counted under Accepted in the graph above.
Wins by Client
A bid is included in the “wins” count if its “Outcome Date” is in 2021 and its current status is “Won.” A bid is included in the “bids submitted” count if the “Date Submitted” of its most recent proposal is in 2021. Bids that are part of a group are counted individually. Requests for budgets are not included in this calculation.
Bid History
A bid is included in the “Submitted” count for a month if the “Date Submitted” of its most recent proposal is in within that month. A bid is included in the “Won” or “Lost” count for a month if its “Outcome Date” is in that month and its current status is “Won” or “Lost.” Bid groups count as a single bid and are counted under the status of the entire group. Requests for budgets are not included in this calculation.
Wins by Assignee
A bid is included in the “Wins” count if its “Outcome Date” is in 2021 and its current status is “Won.” A bid is included in the “bids submitted” count if the “Submitted Date” of its most recent proposal is in 2021. Bids that are part of a group are counted individually. Requests for budgets are not included in this calculation.
