If you are a subcontractor receiving email notifications for a project you do not wish to bid on, you can remove yourself from email notifications by updating your bidder status to “Not bidding.” This can be done via the initial invitation email you received or directly through BuildingConnected.
If you wish to unsubscribe from all BuildingConnected emails, please reference the article, "How to unsubscribe from email notifications."
How to stop project notification emails via the initial invitation email
To start, open the email invitation you received for a project. In the body of the email look for the three statuses - "Bidding," "Not Bidding," and "Not Sure." Click on “Not Bidding” to stop all project notification emails.
How to stop project notification emails through BuildingConnected
You can also stop project notifications by changing your bidding status to “Not Bidding” on BuildingConnected. To do so, navigate to your Bid Board then locate the bid you would like to decline. On the right-hand side of the bid, click on the red circular icon. Clicking this icon will automatically move the bid to your “Archived” folder.
You can also decline bids from the bid overview tab. To do so, click on the bid you wish to decline, then click the small drop-down arrow on the right-hand side.
Click “Change Status.”
Next, click the drop-down arrow on the next window and change your bidder status from “Undecided” to “Declined.”
Once your status is selected, click “Save.”
Saving your new status as “Declined” will automatically archive your bid and stop all project notification emails for that bid package. The GC will not receive an email notification that you have declined to bid, but they will be able to see your status on their end of the platform.
