Adding a note to a proposal within the Bid Leveling tab is helpful when you have added plugs (or adjustments) to any submitted bids. This feature allows you to identify the reason why an adjustment was made so that you can reference the adjustment at a later time. Notes also allow other members of your team to see why an adjustment was added.
Any notes you add to a subcontractor’s proposal are only available to you and your team. The notes are not visible to the subcontractor who submitted the bid.
1. Find the company whose proposal you want to leave a note on. Find the field you’d like to leave a note for and click on it.
2. The selected field will expand, allowing you to leave a note. Click on “Leave a note” to start typing.
3. Once the note has been entered, click “Enter” to save your changes. Alternately you can click anywhere outside the window in which you left the note to save.
4. You will be able to see the note by hovering over the field in which the note was written.
