As a general contractor, the messaging feature within projects allows you to conveniently send project updates and organize all communication in a central location. This can be done both on the project level and the bid package level.
Please note that once messages have been sent, there is no way to undo the sent action. This is intended to help you maintain historical accuracy.
To send messages on the project level
Navigate to your Projects page then click on the project you would like to send a message for.
Within the project, click the “Messages” tab then click “New Message.”
Select which group to send your message to (entire project, by company status, or by specific bid package). If you select any of the "Company Statuses" groups, all individual companies that meet that status will be messaged. The number of companies in each group are noted in parentheses at the end - (X).
Once you select which group to send the message to, enter the subject, body, attach any files, and adjust formatting as needed, then click “Send.”
Please note that subcontractors are unable to see who else the message was sent to. All members of the list are blind copied and only you and internal employees that have been added to the project can see who the message was sent to.
