When you are creating a project on BuildingConnected, you can add bid packages before or after projects are published. Bid packages are categories of trades you can add subcontractors to so you can send invitations to bid.
To add bid packages
Begin by navigating to your Projects page from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click on the project you would like to add a bid package to.
From the “Bid Packages” tab, click “New Bid Package.”
Enter bid package information including number, bid package name, keywords, bid package lead, estimated cost, instructions, and relevant dates. Once you have confirmed all information is correct, click “Save.”
Once your new bid package is created, you will be taken to the “Bidders” tab within the bid package so you can invite bidders. For instructions on how to invite bidders, please reference the article, “How general contractors can add bidders to projects.”
To navigate back to the “Bid Packages” tab, click “Back to Project” on the left-hand side.
Please note that added bid packages are not automatically published. This is to ensure you can add bidders, review information, and make any necessary changes before notifications are sent to bidders within the bid package.
