BuildingConnected allows you to add attachments to bids that have already been submitted by subcontractors. This functionality is helpful when a subcontractor sends a revised bid via email or over the phone.
To start, find the appropriate project and bid package. From the “Bidders” tab, click on the name of the company you are submitting an attachment for. Click on “Create revision” from the options on the right.
Next, scroll to the “Attachments” section located at the bottom of the proposal. Click on “Upload more.”
Select the file you want to upload. Click on “Open” to upload the file.
You should see the uploaded file listed under the “Attachments” section. Click on “Review & Submit.”
Next, you will have the opportunity to edit any updates you made before submitting the changes to the bid. To do this, click on “Back to edit.” Otherwise, click “Submit."
You will immediately see a new entry in the “Proposals” section for the company. You can view the updated proposal with the attached file by clicking on the proposal’s dollar amount.
As a best practice, we recommend adding a note to document any relevant details about the attachment you submitted or changes you made. These notes are for internal use only and are not visible to the subcontractor.
