As a general contractor, you can filter your bidder search by qualification status when inviting subcontractors to projects to ensure they are qualified for your project. Please note that Qualification Manager is a BC Pro feature. If you do not have BC Pro, you will not be able to filter bidder search by qualification status. If you would like more information about BC Pro and Qualification Manager, please contact us at sales@buildingconnected.com.
To filter by qualification status
From the bid package you would like to invite bidders to, click “Invite Bidders” on the “Bidders” tab. If you have not set up bid packages yet, please reference the article, “How to add bid packages to projects.”
Enter a work performed keyword if there is not one already populated by typing a trade in the “Work Performed” section then clicking on the keyword that populates in the drop-down menu.
Adding a work performed keyword will populate “best match” companies in the center of the “Invite Bidders” window. Best matches are chosen based on trade, location, activity, and past work relationships with your company. For more information on how “best matches” are chosen, please reference the article, ”How does BuildingConnected choose 'best matches' when inviting bidders to projects.”
You can filter bidder search by qualification status by selecting and deselecting statuses on the left-hand side underneath the “Qualification Status” section. Please note that qualification statuses are set by your company on the Qualifications page. For information on how to set qualification statuses, please reference the article, “How to qualify and deny qualification applications (BC Pro).”
Companies matching that status will appear in the center of the “Invite Bidders” window.
From here, you can invite bidders by clicking “Invite” next to individual names underneath a company.
Click “Show More” to view all individuals within a company.
You can invite as many individuals within a company as you would like by clicking “Invite” next to all names.
Please note that if your project is published, clicking “Invite” will send an invitation to bid to all bidders invited to the bid package. For more information on inviting bidders to projects, please reference the article, “How to invite subcontractors to projects using the ‘best match’ feature.”
