As a general contractor, you can utilize a slider to quickly add BuildingConnected’s “best matches” when inviting subcontractors to bid on projects. Best matches are determined by a subcontractor's trades performed, service area, proximity to project, and past relationship with your company. To use the slider to add “best match” subcontractors to an unpublished bid package
Begin by navigating to your project then clicking on the unpublished bid package you would like to invite bidders to.
In the center of the page is a slider which enables you to invite best matches. In the example below, there are 176 companies that are best matches for the “Electrical” bid package. Please note that in order for the “best match” slider to work, your project must have an address assigned. Drag the slider to the right to select the amount of bidders you would like to invite, then click “Add _ Bidders.”
These bidders will be automatically added to your bid package. Once all bidders are added to your bid package, you can publish the project which will send invited bidders an email notification.
