BuildingConnected allows general contractors to import bidder list templates into projects, which can save you a lot of time when building your project. This article explains how general contractors can import bidder list templates that are owned by members of other offices. This will ensure that the members of your company are uniformly inviting the appropriate bidders to projects.
Note: To import bidder list templates that are owned by a different office, a subscription to BC Pro is required by the project’s owning office and by the template owner’s office. To learn more about BC Pro subscriptions please contact email@example.com.
To import bidder list templates owned by a different office
Start from the project’s “Bid Packages” tab. Click on “Import.”
From there, click on “My Company.”
Use the “Search” box to find a specific bidder list template by name. You can also scroll through the list below the search box to find the template you wish to import. This list consists of:
- Active (published) projects.
- Closed projects.
- Bidder list templates.
Quickly identify templates by looking for the “Template” tag located to the left of the template’s name. Once you find the desired bidder list template, click on the template’s name. In the second column, you will see a list of all the bid packages included in the template. Click on the bid packages that you want to import. If you wish to import all bidders from all bid packages, click on “All bid packages.” Otherwise click on the names of the specific bid packages you wish to import.
You will see your selected Bid Packages in the third column. Next, click on “Add.”
An entry will be created under the “Bid Packages” tab for each bid package that was imported. These bid packages will be labeled as “Not published” which means that invitations or notifications have not been sent.
