As a general contractor with BC Pro, you can create bid forms that specifically meet your project’s needs. This capability saves you time by allowing you to store the bid forms that you create so that you can easily use them for future projects.
Project bid forms are visible to all subcontractors who are invited to bid, regardless of scope. These bid forms are organized into six different sections under which relevant questions can be added when you create your bid form in BuildingConnected. This article explains the different categories that are available in project bid forms so that you can accurately organize your bid form questions.

To access project bid forms
Start by navigating to the desired project. From there, click on the “Bid Forms” tab.
You will be directed to an empty project bid form.

This section allows general contractors to ask questions or clarifications that are required from all potential business partners.
For example, this section is an appropriate place to confirm with bidders that they have read and agreed to the associated bid documents that were provided for the project.
Use this section to ask questions in relation to bonding for potential business partners.
Fees and markups
Use this category to get breakout information for a subcontractor’s personal costs.
Under labor rates you can request breakouts for hourly, daily, and weekly rates for labor associated with this bid.
For example, this section is the appropriate place to ask for hourly labor costs for the project foreman and for the project manager.
This section is used to allow subcontractors to clarify their business certifications.
For example, this section is the appropriate place to ask subcontractors to confirm if they are a Women Business Enterprise.
Disclaimers and clarifications
Use this section to include your company’s standard disclaimers and clarifications that the subcontractor will need to review for this bid.
While individual questions can be added under each section, it is not possible to add additional sections to project bid forms.
