BuildingConnected gives subcontractors the ability to indicate the type of work that they perform. Scopes are listed as keywords in your office's profile and make you visible to general contractors in your area who are searching for bidders who perform that work. Continue reading to learn how you can view all the scopes that are offered in BuildingConnected to ensure that your company is invited to bid relevant projects.
To view all available scopes of work
From the menu on the left, click on your company profile.
- If you only have one office location, you will see a list of the employees in your company. Click on the “Company Profile" tab.
Click on "Edit Work Information"
- If you have multiple office locations, you will see a list of all the locations in your company. Click on the office you are interested in editing. Then click on the "Office Information" tab.
Click on "Edit Profile"
Click on "Edit Work Information".
Once you are in "Edit Work Information', click on the “Work Performed” field and then on “View All” from the drop-down list.
A window will appear with a list of all the scopes that are available in BuildingConnected. If you have keywords already added to your profile, those keywords will appear at the top of the window. For your ease, keywords are organized by division. Click into the Filter box at the top to search for specific scopes.
To add scopes from this window, simply click on the appropriate scope from the list and the selected scope will be added at the top. The selected will also appear orange. Click "Add Selected" to save your changes.
Tip: If you don't see the exact work that you perform, we suggest selecting the closest keyword that matches in the list of available options.
