As a general contractor using TradeTapp, you can view financial metric formulas and definitions within your account to understand what each financial metric means and how it is calculated.
To see financial metric formulas and definitions
Click on your name, email, or company name in the top right corner.
Click “Settings.”
Click “Financial Model.”
Formulas will appear in the center column next to the financial metrics they represent. Please note that the slider at the stop of the page can be adjusted to change the financial category weighting. For more information on how to adjust financial category weighting, please reference the article, "How to adjust financial category weighting in TradeTapp (General contractors)."
Click on the question mark next to a financial metric to view its definition.
For a more detailed breakdown of financial metric definitions and formulas, click “Formula Definitions” in the top right-hand corner of the “Financial Model” page.
This will open a PDF summary of all financial metrics within TradeTapp, as well as their definitions and formulas. You will also be able to see the name of the metric, its abbreviation, and where in TradeTapp that metric can be viewed.
If you have a set of in-house financial ratios that are not included in the financial formulas available in TradeTapp, we have a tool to incorporate your custom ratios so that they are auto-calculated into the analysis performed on TradeTapp. For information on how to add your in-house financial ratios to your company's TradeTapp account, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or TradeTapp Account Executive.
