As a general contractor in BuildingConnected, you can change the owning office of projects within your company. This will help ensure your company’s project history remains accurate and up to date with which projects belong to which office.
Please note that in order to change the owning office of a project, you must first join the project team.
To join another office, you can do so by following the instructions in the article, “How to join additional offices.”
To change a project’s owning office
From your project, navigate to the “Information” tab then click “Edit Information.”
Scroll to the “Private Information” section then click the drop-down next to “Owning Office.”
Select the project’s new owning office.
Click “Save Project.”
Please note that changing an office’s owning office will not send an email notification to the new office, and it will not alter who has access to the project.
