BuildingConnected’s messaging tool allows subcontractors to keep all project communication in a single location. If you receive a project message that you would like to reply to, it is important to do this from BuildingConnected and not from your personal inbox.
Please note that the NDA must be signed in order to view or respond to messages for NDA protected projects. Click here for instructions on how to sign NDA’s.
To reply to project messages
The notification you receive will include a preview of the message, the sender’s details and the project name. All notifications from BuildingConnected come from the alias email@example.com. If you reply to the notification from your personal inbox, your message will not be delivered to the intended recipient.
To reply, click on the orange “Reply” button within the message.
You will be directed to the “Messages” tab for the project. Click on “Reply.”
You will see the name of the general contractor’s company in the “To” field. However, the message you send will go to members of the general contractor’s project team as designated by the general contractor.
Enter the message you wish to send. Please note that it is not possible to retrieve or delete messages once they have been sent. We ask that you please confirm the details of your message before clicking on “Send.” Once you confirm that all details are correct, click “Send.”
