As a general contractor using TradeTapp, you have the ability to customize financial benchmarking to your preferences by adjusting the proportional weighting. This will alter the way each financial category contributes to the overall benchmarking score.
Our default settings are based on best-practices sourced from our customers, partners, and advisors. We encourage you to review these settings during implementation, to ensure the platform best aligns with your organization’s specific needs.
By default, financial category weightings are set to:
- 35% Liquidity
- 20% Turnover
- 20% Profitability
- 25% Debt
To adjust financial category weightings
Click on your name, email, or company name in the top right corner.
Click “Financial Model.”
In the “Financial Ratios & Metrics” section, click and drag the circles to adjust category weightings, as shown in the quick video below.
You can also toggle financial metrics on and off to add and remove them from all your financial benchmarking calculations. This will also remove these ratios from the “Financial” tab on the vendor profile.
For information on financial metric formulas and definitions, please reference the article, “Where can I see financial metric formulas and definitions? (General contractors).”
When you are finished customizing financial categories and their weightings, click “Apply” to save your changes.
Once a vendor has submitted their questionnaire, the “Summary” page within the vendor’s dashboard will calculate financial benchmarking based on your customizations.
