If you are a subcontractor with Bid Board Pro, you will receive an email notification when a general contractor views your bid for the first time. This will help you and your team schedule follow-up reminders to stay organized and keep track of responsibilities and deadlines.
The email notification, as shown below, will include the date and time the general contractor viewed your bid as well bid details, contact information, and quick links to your BuildingConnected account to send messages and set follow-up reminders.
Who from within my company will receive the “Bid viewed” email notification?
Only the individual assigned to the opportunity and the individual who submitted the bid will receive the “Bid viewed” email notification.
What actions trigger the “Bid viewed” email notification?
The “Bid viewed” email notification will be triggered when the general contractor views your bid in BuildingConnected, prints your bid, or downloads an attachment.
For bids that originated outside of BuildingConnected (manually created opportunities or forwarded opportunities), the “Bid viewed” email notification will be triggered when the general contractor opens your email.
Please note that if a general contractor has email open tracking blocked, we will not capture when your bid invite was opened, and thus, you will not receive an email notification.
