As a general contractor with BC Pro, you can store internal files related to a subcontractor within the Bid Leveling tool. This feature allows you to link and conveniently access private files such as internal mark-ups of submitted proposals.
To upload a private attachment
Navigate to the applicable project.
Click on the bid package where you would like to add the private attachment.
Open the “Bid Leveling” tab and locate the subcontractor for which you would like to add a private file.
Click “upload files” from the “Private Attachments” section of the subcontractor. You can also attach files by dragging them directly to the “upload files” button. The maximum file size for private attachments is 25 MB per file.
Please note that only project team members can upload, download, and delete these private attachments.
To download or delete a private attachment
Hover your mouse over the attachment name to make the download and delete buttons appear. Click the download icon to save the attachment. Please note that files must be downloaded in order to be viewed.
To delete a file, hover your mouse over the file name and click the X.
Files attached to subcontractors in the Bid Leveling tool are private and cannot be viewed by subcontractors. They will not be notified when a private attachment is uploaded, downloaded, or deleted.
