As a general contractor with BC Pro, you can draw attention to specific cells in the Bid Leveling tab by coloring the cells. This is helpful when there are items that may require you to take action like a missing scope or to highlight a number that is too low that you need to review with the bidder. You can also use colors and add notes for internal tracking and coordination between your teams.
Please reference this article on “How to leave notes on individual proposals from within the Bid Leveling tab”.
Colors are only visible to you and the project team. Colors applied to cells are not visible to the subcontractor who submitted the bid. If you create or receive a revision to a proposal, the colors will also pull forward to the new revision.
To color any cell when bid leveling
Click on the cell that you would like to color on the proposal you are working on.
The selected field will expand with a place to insert notes and also a palette of colors to choose from. Select a color from the options by clicking on the symbol.
Click on the “Enter” key on your keyboard or click away from the box and the cell will be highlighted in the color that you choose.
To remove the color on a cell
Click on the cell you would like to remove the color on.
The selected field will expand. Click on the blank symbol to remove the color on the cell.
Hit the “Enter” key or click away from the box and the cell will no longer be colored.
