As a subcontractor receiving invitations to prequalify from general contractors, you may notice two tabs in the Qualifications section in your BuildingConnected account. The tabs look different and the invites that you receive from each also vary. These are two separate qualification tools that general contractors use to request information.
If you had a separate TradeTapp account before, this may sound familiar. TradeTapp has moved into BuildingConnected. Please feel free to review these “Frequently Asked Questions” about the migration.
What are TradeTapp invites?
TradeTapp is a premium risk-management tool that BuildingConnected offers general contractors. This a unique product that some general contractors you work with may use to request prequalification information about your company.
When you receive an invitation to prequalify using TradeTapp, the following is what the invite will look like. Please note the "TradeTapp by BuildingConnected" logo at the top of the email.
These emails come from invitations@tradetapp.com.
These prequalifications will appear under your “TradeTapp Invites” and will be where you can look if a general contractor refers to TradeTapp.

What are Other Invites?
BuildingConnected also has another qualification tool, outside of TradeTapp.
The following is what these invitations will look like. Please note that the logo at the top is for “BuildingConnected” only.
These emails appear to come from team@buildingconnected.com.
Any of these invites will appear under the “Other Invites” tab.
If you have further questions regarding “Other Invites”, please reference this section of the Help Center.
