If you are creating projects and uploading files for your subcontractors, you have the option to sync files from a Box.com account. If your company utilizes this file storage site, you can make project files from Box available in BuildingConnected.
- Firstly, you must connect your Box account to BuildingConnected. Please follow the instructions on how to do this here.
- Once you have connected your Box account, navigate to the "Files" tab within your project.
Click on "sync with a Box folder".
Once selected, click "Select Box Folder" and a pop-up window will appear with the folders and files that are currently in your Box account. You can select which ones you would like to sync over and include in this project.
Once you do so, the files will appear in your Project Files. Please note that BuildingConnected does not store these files, so these files live on your Box account and are made available here for your bidders to download. For example, if the file is removed in Box, it will affect the ability to download them here in BuildingConnected.
At the top right, you can still choose to select "Upload Files" to upload any additional documents from your computer or choose to create a "New Folder".
At the bottom, it will say whose Box account "this project is synced to". You can contact this person to switch up the files or make any changes as needed.
If you no longer want to sync to a Box account in the project files, you can select "click here to disconnect" at the very bottom in blue.
